Welcome to the website of St Patrick’s Parish Primary School in Port Fairy. I have been a Catholic School Educator for 40 years and in that time, I have had a wide variety of roles, but none as rewarding and fulfilling as being a Principal.

After graduating with a Diploma of Teaching from Australian Catholic University (ACU) in 1980, I began my teaching career at St. Pius X West Warrnambool, where I worked in a variety of roles for twenty-three years. I taught in the junior classes before completing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Teacher Librarianship in 1992. I worked in the school library at St. Pius X for ten years after returning from having a family. In 1991, I trained and worked as a Reading Recovery Teacher and became the CLaSS Literacy Leader in 1998.

In 2004 I was appointed to the Literacy Education Officer’s role, at the Catholic Education Office and completed a Master of Educational Leadership in 2012. I worked in Ballarat Diocesan schools for ten years, supporting teacher development in teaching literacy.

In my final two years working for the Catholic Education Office, I also worked part-time on the Leadership Team at Our Lady Help of Christians Primary School in Warrnambool.

I was appointed Principal of All Saints Parish School in Portland in 2014 and then at St Patrick’s Port Fairy in 2021.

I am passionate about creating a collaborative learning environment that focuses on individualised curriculum planning, focused teaching to achieve learning success for all and student wellbeing.

I am thoroughly enjoying my role as Principal of St Patrick’s Port Fairy. The St Patrick’s School community works together to create a vibrant and inclusive learning community. The parents are fully supportive of the school community, giving generously of their time and expertise to enhance the school facilities and resources. I am committed to working in partnership with our school families and the wider community to provide the best possible learning environment for all students. I welcome open communication and invite prospective families to come and experience our school mantra of “Give Yourself to Goodness".
