Parent Involvement

Parental involvement is strongly encouraged at St Patrick's. Parents are skilled in classroom assistance with our Parent Helpers Program. This shows parents how to be a valuable assistance to teachers in our literacy program. Parents are encouraged to contribute to the life of the school with involvement in the Parish Education Board, Parents & Friends Association, Parish Sacramental Team, Canteen, Catering Committee or with routine working bees & maintenance groups.

School Advisory Council

St Patrick's Parish Education Board brings together in a spirit of co-operation the parish administrator, principal, representatives of parents, teachers and other groups involved with education in the parish and school so that responsible informed advice can be given to the Canonical Administrator and principal. The Board aims to support the school in providing an environment based on the Gospel values of a Christian Community and in facilitating encounters between God and the child.
The Education Board functions are:
• Assisting in the formulation of the School Policy in conjunction with the Parish Administrator, School Staff and Parents.
• Assisting in the preparation of the school budget.
• Supporting the school in practical ways such as ensuring that the school facilities and equipment are maintained.

• Giving a brief report to the school and parish community of the Board's major developments and initiatives each December.
